Our hypocritical world
I believe we should love and be kinder to our planet. I think we should get rid of plastics and drive less and use energy efficient products. I have believed all this for years, because it is the right thing to do, not because Al Gore presented us with half truths, partial explanations and blatant lies. Of course the US sucks up this kind of thing like a starving baby on a teat, and lo and behold we have yet another giant, carbon belching concert named aptly "Live Earth concert."
A bevy of rich, spoiled, decadent carbon spewing artists promising to reduce their carbon footprint. I am sure the multitude of semi's needed to put this on, the plane travel, not to mention the environmental damage that must have occurred putting on this giant eight city concert, will never be a factor where "art" is concerned. Alas the world is full of, rather plagued with, celebrity hypocrisy, that goes hand and hand with the theme of our world we now live in, which is lies, deceit and betrayal so that a meager 2% of the people can live a life of total decadence and obscenity.
I am SICK of these preachy, no nothing celebrities, who think having money makes them experts on life, particularly the lives of us lesser common folk. I am sure my tiny apartment and my biking and walking everywhere is an unimportant blip in life compared to their great sacrifice. Perhaps they will move to ten bedroom mansions and cut their servants and nanny staff in half. Maybe they will get rid of a few cars and jets, maybe Madonna will give up a few of her nine homes. We know she needs them. God love em. How they sacrifice to save the world.
The truth about Global warming? Perhaps most of what the rich do-gooders want us to believe is nothing more than a swindle based on giant amount of money and funding they are given to jump on the band wagon.
Watch this video, come on I dare ya.
