Ever have a major disaster in the kitchen, meet the person
of your dreams or maybe you just have a really good kitchen
story to tell. Or maybe you just have a kick as recipe you
want the world to discover. Your submission to Issue #3
can be a recipe, art, fiction, poetry or even a true story.
As long as it happened in the kitchen!

SUBMISSIONS GUIDELINES
We want every issue of Shebytches to be thought provoking,
innovative, witty and honest
in other words just plain
Bytchy! If you are fearless and want the world to know whats
going on in your head then show us what youve got.
Before you submit an article to Shebytches, please familiarize
yourself with our magazine. This way you will understand
what we are all about and what we expect from our writers.
Please also review the issue outlines as each issue has
a specific theme!
Our
rules are also very basic. You can write about pretty much
anything, but we must warn you that we won't except submissions
that make derogatory statements against race, religion or
gender and we cannot post anything that is sexually explicate
in nature (we have a readership as young as 14 years old).
Payment
for articles: At this time we cannot pay for submissions,
how every an issue of the printed magazine that your article/story/photo
or art appears will be mailed to you. In lieu of payment
we will send you an issue of the printed magazine that your
article/story/photo or art appears in.

All
other images and content are either royalty free, public
domain or printed with permission. News and celebrity photos
are used for editorial and satirical purposes only. Shebytches.com

articles are copyrighted by their writers/artists.
Reprinting
any © articles, images or concepts without permission
is prohibited. Violation of this policy may result in copyright,
trademark, or other intellectual property rights violation
and subject you to civil or criminal penalties.
Non-fiction:
Essays, general interest, humor, personal experience, and
features on topics relating to our quarterly outline. Articles
intended for the print version of Shebytches should be no
longer than 800-1000 words. Please submit previously unpublished
articles only.
Photos/Artwork:
If you are an artist or photographer and would like to submit
black and white photos of your work, please send via regular
mail and include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for
their return. We are also happy to view artwork via email
(submissions@shebytches.com). We do not pay for art, but
we do publish a bio of the artist with information on how
she can be contacted by readers who may be interested in
viewing and/or purchasing prints or originals.
Fiction/Poetry:

Format:
Include contact information (name, address, phone, email)
on the first page of your manuscript, and make sure your
name is also on each subsequent page You may send your manuscript
via email to editor@s\ (preferably as a word document attachment
readable by both PC/MAC (we use MACs here), or by
regular mail to the attention of the Editor. Manuscripts
which come to us via regular mail cannot be returned unless
you include a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE). If
you are sending via mail, please ensure you supply both
a hard copy and a CD including the softcopy in a MAC readable
format.
Bio:
Please enclose a brief (2-3 sentences) biographical sketch
with your cover letter or manuscript so that we will have
it on hand if we print your article.
Please
Note: We do consider each manuscript on spec. Even if
we express an interest in a proposed article, we cannot
always guarantee publication. Even when an article is selected
for an issue, it may be pulled at the last minute due to
lack of space. We try to make sure this doesn't happen,
but it is often unavoidable. We will however keep all considered
but unpublished pieces for possible submission in future
issues.
We
try to respond to all submissions promptly, but due to the
volume it is not always possible to do so. Please be patient.
