Dreams That Arent Dreams...
When you have a dream, but it isnt a dream or a nightmare... then what is it? No, this isnt a riddle from a Monty Python movie. This is an issue I have been dealing with since I had a dream that wasnt a dream or a nightmare, but freaked the hell out of me just the same!
Early Friday, something jolted me awake at 4:30 am and I have yet to completely figure out exactly what it was. When I awoke I saw plain as day the face of a man. Full colour vision, in my face, no pun intended. I couldnt remember the dream, but was overwhelmed by what had happened before I awoke, yet couldnt remember anything that had happened. I also couldnt go back to sleep as I was very stressed by it all, not to mention the rest of the day I was completely off!
I chatted with A about it and she cant really figure it out completely either. All she can tell me was it wasnt a dream or a nightmare. It was something else. So what was that something else? I can still see exactly what I saw before I woke up. It seems to have burnt its image in my mind. Im guessing there is a reason for that. I will have to wait and see what comes of it.
This isnt the first time Ive had these types of things happen. Its not unusual for me to have super freaky dreams. Many of you who read my column will remember the reoccurring dream I was having where The Rock was chasing me through a jungle, hunting me down so he could kill me. Of course there are also the numerous Tornado dreams I have. Rather I should say Tornados. There is never just one. Usually a minimum of three. I call them my frustration dreams.
Any dream experts out there? If there are, maybe one of you could tell me what exactly did happen in the early hours of Friday. I would love to understand it, and then understand why.
