Our Sanitary World
Hello Bubble Boy. Let's talk dirty. You feeling filthy? You should, come on tell me how dirty you are, tell me. Ya, that's right... sigh. You were hoping this was me telling you all about my experiences with phone sex. Ya, um, sorry to disappoint but... what I really want to talk about is how we are all about to require our own little bubbles.
Have you noticed that everywhere you go these days there are hand sanitizer dispensers everywhere. Everything is anti bacterial this, pro biotic that. Blah, Blah, Blah. I am so sick of all of this stuff everywhere. Oh wait I guess the entire point of all of this is so we don't get sick. Hmm, I don't buy it. You see I grew up with a Mother who let us get dirty, filthy dirty. As a matter of fact if we came home at the end of the day clean... she knew we were up to no good. These days kids aren't allowed to get dirty and I believe this is the reason kids are sick all the time.
When I was a kid I got the occasional cold and all the typical childhood illnesses, chicken pox, the mumps, but nothing worse than that. I don't recall anyone having peanut allergies, asthma, ADD for any of the thousands of illnesses that kids have today. My theory is that because kids today are so germ phobic their immune systems are failing. Being too clean is not a good thing, because your body can't figure out how to fight off the germs if they should attack.
I go to the grocery store I see the latest pre biotic breads, cereals and juices, not to mention the disposable grocery cart, antibiotic wipes. The drug stores carry a variety of sanitizing products, everything from Kleenex to kitchen counter wipes to nasal sprays. We as humans are no longer allowed to spread our germs. Sometimes I wonder if it is some crazy government conspiracy.
The way I see it, the government and the pharmaceutical companies are in on it together. They figure that by weakening our immune symptoms, we will need more drugs to cure our illnesses and by further weakening our immune symptoms new illnesses are created daily. More illness, more diseases mean greater profits for both the medical fields, research fields, pharmaceutical companies and government. Illness means profit.
You want you and your families to be ill less, want to spend less money on medicine and less time in the waiting room. Get dirty, your immune system with thank you.
