Marlene Dietrich is the epitome of sensuality. Of any woman I have seen in real life or on the big screen, she oozes sexuality and strength, is both feminine and masculine and has always had an aura of mystery. All qualities I and many women hope to carry off, as well. Recently I had a good friend ask how to be sensual. I told her what I would do, how I would act. Iím not saying you need these attributes to be sexy and sensual but it you need pointers watch a few of her movies or reels of her cabaret performances.

I've seen a few other actresses who you could also look to for lessons on being sensual, Marilyn Monroe, Jessica Lange, a young Elizabeth Taylor and Billie Piper. Who is Billie Piper you ask. An outstanding actress who plays Belle de Jour on an amazing British series called Secret Diary Of A Call Girl. Sensuality isnít just how you carry yourself, it is in the way you walk, talk, move your body parts, facial expression, subtle things like flicking your hair, a wink, the way you cross your legs. Things that can be learned, yes, but most of the time it is just naturally in you. Not everyone can be sensual though. I know a few who try, oh they try, they read books, ask people for help, we even coached someone one day. They just didnít have it. You also donít have to be built like Marilyn Monroe to be sensual; you can be large, small, fat, thin, tall, and short. Your body shape has nothing to do with it. Iíve seen women with killer bodies who are no sex appeal what so ever, then I have seen a plus size woman who oozed sexy and sensual, so much that everyone's jaws dropped when she sauntered... yes... sauntered by, because when you are sensual you donít just walk by.
