Say the word "pornography" in a room full of people and you'll get a myriad of reactions. Most women have difficulty in accepting porn because of what it represents: a false image of women that doesn't exist in real life. For instance, when was the last time you were grocery shopping and found yourself blowing the guy at the meat counter? Probably never unless you're Kim from my high school sex ed class. That girl would fuck anything.

Porn is used for many different reasons but it all basically comes down to the same thing. It's an escape from reality. You donôt like your life? Then change it. Donôt make your wife or girlfriend feel like shit because she isnôt made of plastic and sporting huge fake nails. Real women are flawed, and their true beauty lies in those flaws. I suppose there will always be those women who cater to men's fantasies and pump themselves full of poisonous substances just to feel loved. We have a choice though. We can choose to love ourselves in all our flawed beauty or we can take society's word for it and subject our bodies to someone elseôs vision of perfection. I for one have traveled a long hard road to self-acceptance and I am not about to allow society to tell me that I need to change to be beautiful. I am a goddess, and fuck all of you people out there who don't see that.

I don't think porn is degrading at all. The men and women that are in these movies make a free choice to be in the porn business.

I rather enjoy a good porno and yes, I am a woman and yes, I am a heterosexual.

Porn is a fantasy - that's all. And sweetheart, the single life can be a bit TOO single at times and a girl's gotta get her rocks off anyway she can. ;)

I always felt as though my husband was comparing me to the women in those movies. Before we were married, he told me he liked those movies and magazines and if I wanted to be with him I would have to accept it. Last year, I found him in bed with the neighbor's daughter. He was simply, Acting out a fantasy and if I loved him I would accept !. I left, and haven't been back.

I agree with most of what you're saying. It does project an unattainable image for women and that is damaging to their self-esteem. But look at how it damages men. Most men can't go forever like in those movies. That's a bit of a blow to our egos too. No one is immune to the perils of comparison no matter what the medium is. I say just suck it up. At least with porn you know how youôre going to feel.
