For the Record: She’s an Inspiration

Ask anyone on the streets if there are upset that the Bennifer days are over and I’m sure they’ll all reply with a large ass, "Yes!" Then ask me and I will tell you that my heart mourns when I see Jennifer Garner on the front page of Star Magazine showing off a Ben’s baby belly.

Well, now that the newlyweds are only a couple of weeks away from being first-time parents all I can think of is: Jennifer Lopez. I’m sure she still loves Ben Affleck and I really wish they were still together. But, I know she’ll get over it because to me not only is she strong, she’s a great role model for any woman who has goals.

My obsession with J-Lo started back in 1997 when she starred in Selena (this is still one of my top five favorites). As a pre-teen, I loved listening to Selena’s music. After her death, I couldn’t believe that such a dedicated woman could have been murdered and seeing Jennifer play the character of Selena was an inspiration to me. Since then, Jennifer hasn’t proven that role wrong by being as independent as she is and doing everything she wants.

My Lopez collectibles range from her albums, which includes every single one she has ever released, autographed photos, clothes, perfumes, key chains, subway posters, billboards and what else magazines. From US Weekly to Cosmopolitan, every time Lopez is on the front cover, I’m at the counter buying because the more I learned about her; the more I want to know.

Many people question Lopez’s acting talent all the time, especially after Jersey Girl hit the box-office. If anything, I blame the tabloids for the whole Bennifer thing and I think it’s what ruined her relationship with Ben. Why can’t anyone ever be happy with someone else’s success? It’s not like she’s making a fool of herself getting wasted at Hollywood’s nightclubs because she doesn’t drink alcohol. Anyway, I "still" believe this multi-talented woman will still impress us until her days are done.
