Now I believe in miracles

Now I believe in miracles and a miracle has happened tonight…

*Michael Jackson - Black or White Lyrics

After hearing the talking heads across the world announce that Michael Jackson has been acquitted of molesting a 13-year-old boy, I became overwhelmed with joy.

I have loved MJ ever since the Jackson Five. When I was eight-years-old, I had three of the same shirts that had Michael’s picture on it. When I was in grade five, I choreographed my class while they sang, "Heal the World," in our spring concert.

Michael Jackson was an inspiration to me growing up and still is to this day.

To think of a person, who has lived in a life that no one else can or will ever understand and then, having the whole world turn on them for not being able to understand the world.

The only thing that upsets me more than him being accused for such a dreadful act is how everyone is so quick to judge. Now, people are saying, "He was only released because he has a lot of money. If it was any other Tom, Dick or Harry, they would be behind bars."

It’s funny how money makes the entire situation black and white to people.

"I haven't been betrayed or deceived by children. Adults have let me down."

~Michael Jackson~
