Get a Room

I don't know what has been happening lately because every night I have worked in the past six days I have seen couples endured in a one on one tongue tackle. Perhaps, it's in the water or the flowing beer taps.

Whatever it is, it's happening. And I'm not talking about the "last call at the bar make out session." People are sharing salvia during the dinner rush. I don't completely disagree with the whole making out thing, however, there are appropriate times and places.

I'll let you in on a few examples of inappropriate situations I've dealt with in the past week:

Making out in public is not okay when"

-your server has to leave dirty plates on your table because she/he didn't want to interrupt you.

-you're on the subway and you're not only rubbing up against your girlfriend/boyfriend, but also the old man sitting beside you.

-you're in an elevator with five other people.

-you're grocery shopping and your guy/girl is so into it that you both knock over the weekly special display.

So, you can see, there are a few things that show making out in public is not only rude, but it can be humiliating for both you and your partner. I don't understand why people feel the need to show their love like this when couples can simply show their feelings for each other in a more subtle way, like handholding. Even a little peck here a little peck there is better than being totally distracted from the rest of the World.
