Cindyloohoo

Cindyloohoo I have read more than a few articles lately on the stink that the Spanish government made by refusing to allow models below a certain BMI (body mass index) to work during the Madrid Fashion Week.

Cindyloohoo How do you live a normal life when you have an eating disorder?  After 16 years as a bulimic, I am still trying to figure that one out.

Cindyloohoo They say your home is a reflection of you. If that is the case, I am in serious trouble. I bought my very first condo on April 28th. I didn't sleep for nearly two and a half months while waiting for closing, sure that something critical would go wrong.

Cindyloohoo Do you ever feel like there is a conspiracy to make your life as challenging as possible?  I don't think I am any more special than the next person but there are days when I swear that the cosmos is out to get me.

Cindyloohoo Who says our pets don't take after their adoptive parents?

Cindyloohoo Lately I have become convinced that I have a mental defect which makes me incapable of being happy.  Every time I make a lifestyle change which results in my being happier, more peaceful and serene, I live it for a period, sometimes months, then manage to disregard it and go back to my old ways of living.

Cindyloohoo Now that summer has officially arrived (although I have been sweating for weeks, so what do I know?), I thought it might be an appropriate time to share some suggestions to help make this summer more enjoyable for all.  As such, here are my steadfast Rules of Summer:

Cindyloohoo So many things are going through my mind.  I can barely focus because I am so angry and upset at the world.  Where do I begin?

Cindyloohoo ME Generation I recently read an article which suggested a name for the children of this generation - the Millennium Edition Generation or ME Generation.  Her argument was that children are all being taught how special they are and that their needs and wants are paramount.  The result, to me, has helped me to decrease my frustration when dealing with people in public because it is becoming clearer what the problem is.

Cindyloohoo The Curse of the Jaded Scorpio Once again, life has decided to take a big old bite right out of my ass.  Just when I thought things couldn't be better in my life (I just bought my first condo, I have a job that I love and where I am respected and valued and have been eating healthier and feeling and looking better than I have in years), Murphy decided to show up in my life.  Perhaps you have met Murphy yourself.  I am sure that you are at least familiar with his "Laws" if not the man himsel

Cindyloohoo Mobile Phones I just finished reading an editorial on the BBC website where the writer was complaining about how he can't save any money as he has to spend all of his hard earned wages on his mobile phone, which he describes as a "necessity" that he doesn't want, and on his rail pass to get to work to earn the money to pay for all of this stuff, and that he doesn't have enough left over for any kind of significant savings.  Am I missing something?  Since when did a cell phone become a necessity?

Cindyloohoo Addicted Looking back at my childhood photographs, who would have predicted that I would grow up to become an addict?  To think of it now, I think I have always had an addictive personality.  Some might call it passion, I call it an inability to stop once I start.

Cindyloohoo Thank God the Olympics are over. Now I don't have to avoid my television.  I have to be the only person I know who despises watching the Olympics on T.V. and will do anything to avoid having to watch any of the events.  This is for many reasons

Cindyloohoo "What is your favourite time of day?" If you were to ask the average person, "What is your favourite time of day?" what do you think their response would be?  I imagine most people would either say 5pm (or whatever time they get off of work) or mealtime (or is that just me?).

Cindyloohoo Courting Disaster Recently I have been given a reason to rethink my past history with men. I will be the first to admit that my attitude towards the opposite sex has not always been very optimistic. In fact, most of my friends would agree that there have been definitive moments in my life where I really had nothing good to say about them.

Cindyloohoo And here I thought my life was boring... On Saturday, I went shopping with my friend, Anna. This is not an unusual occurrence except that, this time, we had a car with which to do our shopping. I had rented one for the day. We started our day at the Nike employee store for some excellent deals on footwear and athletic gear.

Cindyloohoo Does love ever die or does it just become dormant?Does love ever die or does it just become dormant? For years I used to say that I didn't know what it was like to be in love. The problem with that statement is that I had never been in love with a man. I had such a narrow view of love and kept focusing on what love I didn't know instead of the love I have had. I have been "in love", just not with another person.

Cindyloohoo My life has suddenly taken a strange turn. I have always been a little different from my family and many of the people around me and that has been fine with me. Why be a lemming and just following everyone else? Just because everyone is doing something does not make it interesting. However, I think I have become weird, even by my own standards. Here are three reasons why:

Cindyloohoo Random Rants I don't know if it is because the cosmos is haywire for my sign recently or if I am just experiencing one of those occasional "pisser" moments when I feel really crusty.  I have several things that have been bothering me lately.

Cindyloohoo Food for Thought I have been giving a lot of thought lately to the bullshit that is going on in society.  I can't watch or read about the news anymore because I am sick of the violence.  This has certainly led to some interesting conversations with friends.  For example, I was having a drink recently with a co-worker one night and, somehow, we got onto the topic of cannibalism.

Cindyloohoo For the love of a good book Books have played an important part in my life.  I remember in public school how excited I would get when the book orders would come in.  They would come in and the teacher would distribute them to the various students with copies of the order forms tucked into each book.

Cindyloohoo Oprah's incident at Hermes in Paris I have read just about enough of Oprah's incident at Hermes in Paris to last me a lifetime. Enough already! The only thing I have seen more in the papers is Tom Cruise (and I don't mean that in a good way).

Cindyloohoo LIVE 8- NOT INTERESTEDI have got to be one of the only people who have absolutely no desire to go see Live 8 in Barrie this weekend, even though tickets are free.

Cindyloohoo - The Love of a Good Kitten For a few months now, I have been volunteering as a bottle feeder at the Toronto Humane Society. Originally, I thought I would volunteer to boost my resume so that I might have better chances of getting into law school. Whatever the reason was, I went.

Cindyloohoo - Hello Hello.  My name is Cindy and I am an addict.  You may not think this to look at me.  After all, I look just like many people out there.  I am a young, white woman from a middle class background in my thirties.  I am neither beautiful nor ugly.   I have often been told that I remind people of someone they know.

Cindyloohoo - Take me as I am Growing up, I learned early on the benefit of wearing a mask. If I hid who I really was and how I felt then I would be less vulnerable to personal attacks. If I pretended I was really tough and impervious then I would be left alone, a form of self defence against those cruel enough to mock or abuse me
